:: Leah ::

In my constant quest to find models for my photography practice, I begged Leah, our pastor's daughter, to model for me.  Not only did she pose & look pretty, but she totally rocked it!  And looked better in one of my favorite dresses than I ever have!

Love this picture.
There was a fabulous blue barn in the background, but sadly I blew the sky out more than I meant too.
But I still love how this picture turned out.

What a cutie!

 I made Leah get a little bit dirty by sitting next to this barn, but she didn't complain one tiny bit.  Even though her bottom was a tad damp at the end...

Apparently she's never modeled before but you'd never guess.  Watch out Canada's Next Top Model.

Sorry boys.  She is single but off the market until well into her 30's according to Pastor Chris. ;)

Leah, thank you SO MUCH for posing for me!  I had a great afternoon with you, scouting out the perfect location, jumping in and out of the car numerous times on a dirt road, *borrowing* the side of someone's barn, hunting for abandoned vehicles on hiking trails, lugging Judah along on our adventure.  You are an amazing girl & are going to do great things in this world!

Today's photo shoot with my little man to celebrate his seventh month.

We got the privilege of playing with another photographer's lighting system today.

I love the grey backdrop.  I may just have to get myself one of these...

He's looking heavenward, hoping to be rescued from yet another photo shoot.

He's so proud of himself.
I know its cruel, but I love this photograph.  Its priceless to me.  Capturing moments like this is why I love photography!!

My favorite season is fall.  I love the cool, crispy air, the leaves turning various colors, long walks with the sun shining and a Starbucks in hand.  Fall is undoubtedly my favorite time of year.  I met this family down at Roberts Creek Beach to capture family photographs.

Ever since having my own little boy, I have a special place in my heart for little men.
And this one is no exception.  He was a little camera shy at first, but slowly warmed up to me. :)

One of my favorites.

Love this one too.

:: Davis Bay Baby ::

This little dude has the best hair and the best facial expressions that I've seen on a baby in a LONG time!

A very cold day in Davis Bay but "Baby L" did amazing - even enduring an outfit change with a smile!  I have to stay, I love when people bring a change of clothes! :)

The rain started pouring down approximately 30 seconds after this photo shoot ended.

:: Noah - Take #2::

This cutie is the first person to make a second appearance on my photography blog.  For his first birthday, his parents dressed him up in a little tuxedo and we headed into Cliff Gilker Park.  Noah wasn't sure what to make of the bright birthday balloons, especially when we tied them to his wrist.  Poor guy got a taste of the things I'll resort to for a good photo opportunity.  Noah was a lot harder to catch than at his 6-month photo shoot, having recently mastered walking... and sometimes running!

Look at those big blue eyes!

Love his expression.

My favorite photo of the day.
Noah temporarily forgot the balloons were tied to him.

:: Baby Noah ::

I could tell from the moment I met this family that Baby Noah was completely adored and showered with love on a daily, hourly, minutely basis.  He was so sweet-natured and content throughout the shoot.  He seemed fascinated with my camera, which definitely made it a lot easier.  Sometimes it can be tricky to get little ones to look at the camera, but Baby Noah wouldn't look away.  *Perfect!*

He was such a little trooper at his 6-month photo shoot, even though it was a chilly autumn day.

Only a few rocks were consumed during this photo shoot at the beach. :)

What I loved most about Leah & Tyler's ocean side wedding was that it was completely their own.  They celebrated their friendship, their love, their relationship by honoring their individuality and uniqueness.  The little details were amazing and I love how Leah & her maid of honor crafted the centrepieces, the garden decor and the beach front.  It was an amazing day.
